Bennett Dunlop Ford - Making Regina a Happier, Healthier, more Beautiful City Through Community Initiatives

At Bennett Dunlop Ford, we take great pride in partnering with organizations that advocate, promote, and support noble causes in our community. It is simply wonderful to be able to give back to a community that has done so much for us throughout the years as well.

Santa's Anonymous

Santa's Anonymous is a 980 CJME and Salvation Army initiative with a simple goal....to ensure that every child receives a new toy for Christmas. Since 1969 this program has delivered Christmas to thousands of children who if not for the program would not have a Christmas to celebrate. We were excited to be part of this great program.

Buckets & Borders

Improving communities and bringing people together through basketball is what Buckets & Borders is all about. By refurbishing, building, beautifying basketball courts, and providing youth with resources - Including memories and sharing impactful stories have been created. Bennett Dunlop Ford was thrilled to be involved in Project Pick & Roll; a three-court restoration project in Regina's North Central community. This project gave the community accessible courts that they can play on and be proud of.

Swervin' Mini Indy - EV Student Challenge

Ehrlo sport venture

Bennett Dunlop Ford joined Swervin' Mini Indy in expanding its charity racing event by inviting high schools that teach trades-related classes to develop an electric vehicle; trades such as welding, electronics, mechanics and body work. The EV Student Challenge creates an educational opportunity that inspires and educates students with a basic understanding of electric vehicle design before they enter the trades and engineering fields. It also educates future vehicle owners on the benefits of electric vehicles. Then, we race 'em!

KidSport

Talent doesn’t discriminate. KidSport is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to children who wish to pursue sports but may be unable to otherwise. Bennett Dunlop Ford is a proud sponsor and partner of the annual Kidsport Golf Invitational every year where we donate a one year lease on a vehicle at the event. Attendees purchase tickets to enter to win and 100% of the proceeds are donated to KidSport Saskatchewan.

Z99 Radiothon

Z99 Radiothon

Bennett Dunlop Ford is an active contributor to the annual Z99 Radiothon, supporting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Regina General Hospital. We raise funds for the cause through donations from our employees, our dealership, and our charity committee to help save the lives of babies right here in our city. This year, we proudly raised over $5,000.

Adopt A Family

For the past 20 years, Bennett Dunlop Ford has given its best to brighten Christmas in collaboration with Adopt-A-Family. Our employees gladly volunteer to shop for, wrap presents and deliver food to multiple families with whom we have been matched.

Carmichael Outreach

Our employees donate warm clothing including jackets, mittens, pants, and more during an annual clothing drive. The items collected are donated to Carmichael Outreach, who support individuals in our community that are experiencing homelessness so that they too may enjoy a warm and cozy winter.

Regina Food Bank

Every year, Bennett Dunlop Ford participates in a food drive to collect non-perishable food items at the dealership and donate them to the Regina Food Bank. We also offer to deliver food collected by local high schools to the food bank so that no one in our community has to go hungry.

Pegasus Project in support of STARS

Helping raise money for new helicopter equipment in Saskatchewan sure was fun when it included getting to show off a custom 1968 Ford Mustang 427 Coupe!
The Pegasus Project was developed by a group of automotive enthusiasts who care deeply about the people of our province and about the critical work of first responders like STARS, and we were so happy to be along for the ride.
The project involves a completely custom-built, one-of-a-kind Mustang that travelled to Bennett Dunlop Ford to show itself off before being auctioned off in support of STARS.

Canadian Mental Health Association - Regina Punchline Comedy Night

punchline comedy night

Canadian Mental Health Association Regina Branch offers programming to over 1300 members who manage life with a chronic mental illness - often experiencing barriers. We were happy to lend our support to Punchline Comedy Night, to raise funds for this important and worthwhile association.

Truth and Reconciliation Day

all nations hope network

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process in our city, province and country. To educate, honour and recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day, Bennett Dunlop Ford team members attended education sessions, and participated in a 50/50 where we were happy to donate $2,000 to All Nations Hope Network in Regina - a network of Indigenous people, organizations and agencies who respectfully strive to provide support and services to our First Nations, Métis and Inuit families and communities who are experiencing HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.

All Nations Hope Clothing Drive

Ehrlo sport venture

All Nations Hope Network envisions healthy individuals and communities. Where the physical, spiritual and social needs of Indigenous people living with and affected by HIV & Hepatitis C are met. A safe space to make a meaningfully involved in decision-making processes that affect their lives. We were proud to hold a warm winter clothing drive through our sponsorship with the Regina Pats. We collected gently used and brand-new winter clothing for all ages and filled the back of a Ford F-150.

Regina Red Sox

Ehrlo sport venture

The Regina Red Sox are recognized as one of the finest, and well-respected organizations in the Saskatchewan sports scene. Bennett Dunlop Ford has partnered with the team to show our support for them and the Western Major Baseball League.

Canadian Blood Services

Being a proud ‘Partner for Life’, Bennett Dunlop Ford participates in multiple blood donation drives throughout the year. We are pleased and proud that our employees readily sign up in these drives to donate blood to save lives every single year.

Albert Community School

We’ve also gladly teamed up with the Albert Community Elementary School at several events to make young learners happy. We provided pizza lunch to the entire school on National Pizza Day and our employees take the time to read books aloud to students on Dr. Seuss Reading Day.

Ehrlo Sport Venture

Ehrlo sport venture

Ehrlo believes that everyone should have the right to play. Their mission is to provide the inner-city youth and their families control of and access to a variety of recreational programs. In January 2017, Ehrlo teamed up with Bennett Dunlop Ford and the Regina Pats Hockey club to organize a collection drive prior to the Blue Jay’s Night Pats game on January 6th for gently used sports equipment for hockey, basketball, and more for the Sports Venture Library. This library lends out equipment for groups and individuals free of charge.

For the first 500 generous people who drop off equipment and gear, Bennett Dunlop Ford provides a coupon for a professional car detailing. We also provided trucks to gather the collected equipment and gear and transport them to the Sport Venture.

North Central Community Association

Bennett Dunlop Ford has been playing a key role in cleaning up the neighbourhood as it helps instill a sense of pride and improve safety for all those who live and work in the area. It helps the residents, who may not have access to trucks or other means, to dispose of debris and make their neighbourhoods look their best.

For eight consecutive years, our staff and volunteers have actively cleaned up the alleys of Regina’s northcentral neighbourhood. Bennett Dunlop Ford, with the help of staff and volunteers, provides trucks, trailers, and large garbage bins to collect the trash. Throughout the years, we have helped collect over 135 tons of garbage and recyclables, including 23 tons of garbage, 1.5 tons of metal, and 193 tires last year alone.

Dave Kohnick, GM of Bennett Dunlop Ford beamingly says, “I’m very proud of our team at Bennett Dunlop Ford for coming out year after year and volunteering to help to make North Central a safer place to reside. The sense of pride we help instill into the community far outweighs the cost incurred to host such an event. We look forward to coming out year after year and helping to make a difference in the community.“

Regina Pats

people playing hockey

Founded in 1917 as the Regina Patricia Hockey Club, the Regina Pats have been a Queen City tradition for more than a century. Named for the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, the Pats are the oldest major junior hockey franchise in the world. Bennett Dunlop Ford has partnered with the team since 2009 to show our support for them and the Western Hockey League. We have worked with team members to collect gently used sports equipment, and donate to under-resourced children and teens in the Regina community, encouraging them to be active and providing opportunities for them to participate in team sports. GO PATS GO!

Globe Theatre

Globe Theatre is a national centre of excellence in the production of theatre-in-the-round. Globe is one of the largest arts organizations in Saskatchewan and one of the largest regional theatres in the country. A vibrant arts and culture community is important, and Bennett Dunlop Ford is so proud to lend our support to Globe Theatre, to enrich and entertain for many years to come through a $10,000 vehicle sponsorship, monthly vehicle detailing and silent auction items.

At Bennett Dunlop Ford, we take great pride in supporting the community in many different ways. Whether it’s through donations of food and clothing items or offering up our time to assist the individuals who need us, we are pleased to know that we’ve done our part to make Regina a healthier, happier, and more beautiful city.
